Darcy founded Premier Fire and Flood Restoration Inc. in 2013 after transitioning into the restoration industry from the insurance industry.
He completed courses in business and risk management at MacEwan University and began his career in the insurance industry as an adjuster in 1997. Throughout his career as an adjuster, Darcy gained experience and knowledge in quantification, negotiation, and investigation on behalf of a number of international insurance companies. In 2003, he traveled to the Cayman Islands after Hurricane Ivan to provide adjusting and quantification support to the local firm. He was assigned to investigate, quantify damages, create scope of repairs and negotiate the final settlements for many residential and commercial properties such as Tortuga Rum Cake Factory and the Cayman islands Airport Authority.
Upon his return to Edmonton, Darcy became a Senior Project Manager for a large national restoration company. It was at this company that he gained more knowledge on the restoration side and throughout his time at this company, Darcy found that he wanted to tackle the restoration industry with a more local and personalized approach.
In 2013, he decided to take a leap of faith and pave his own way in the industry. Premier Fire and Flood Restoration Inc. is a privately owned, Edmonton based company. The ownership team has Alberta roots and family values which influence the business model and operations to bring knowledge, compassion, and a “get it done” approach to all jobs, large and small.
